News: 1 day agoLawrence completed 23 of 35 passes for 234 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in the Jaguars' 35-16 loss to the Bears on Sunday in London. He also rushed four times for 17 yards.

Spin: Lawrence's final line was serviceable from a fantasy perspective as he generated his third straight two-touchdown-pass tally by connecting with Gabe Davis for scoring tosses of 21 and five yards. However, there were still too many stalled drives for the Jaguars, who punted on three consecutive first-half possessions following an opening-drive field goal. Lawrence did lead two long second-half marches that culminated in his touchdown strikes to Davis, but both came with Jacksonville facing a double-digit deficit. Lawrence's interception came in Jaguars territory as well and led to a Chicago touchdown, making it a lackluster real-world performance for the inconsistent 2021 first overall pick. He and the Jaguars will remain overseas for a Week 7 matchup against the Patriots at Wembley Stadium.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Even as we enter the fourth season of Lawrence's career, it's unclear what type of fantasy producer he truly is. Lawrence finished 17th in per-game fantasy production in 2023. Last year also marked the second straight season he finished strong, as the former top pick was sixth among QBs in fantasy points per game from Week 11 on. Gone is last season's leading receiver in Calvin Ridley, but the team still has some savvy skill players to support a return to relevance for the Lawrence in Year 4. While he is talented as a runner, a lack of designed rushing plays and a greater reliance on pocket production has him understandably positioned on the fringes of QB1 and QB2 status as 2024 fantasy drafts approach. It will only take a middle-to-late-round pick to find out if Lawrence can sustain a full season of special production.
